Traditionally used in Herbal Medicine to help relieve nervousness (calmative/sedative) and as a sleep aid (helps to promote sleep).
Recommended Dose (Adults):
1 teaspoon (3g), 2 times per day as infusion. Infuse 1 teaspoon in 150ml of boiling water for 5 to 10 minutes, filter. For sleep-aid: Take 30 to 60 minutes before bedtime.
Medicinal ingredient:
Each teaspoon contains 3g dried root/ rhizome of Valeriana officinalis L. (Valerian).
Cautions/Warnings:
Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen. Consumption with alcohol, other medications or natural health products with sedative properties is not recommended. Consult a health care practitioner if sleeplessness persists continuously for more than 3 weeks (chronic insomnia).
Known Adverse Reactions:
Some people may experience drowsiness. Exercise caution if operating heavy machinery, driving a motor vehicle or involved in activities requiring mental alertness within 2 hours of consumption.
Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if seal on bag is broken.
